Zimbabwe, 10 January 2010 - In Kadoma, the WCY held clean up and child rights awareness campaigns in a bid to team up with the City Council’s department of health services in fighting the spread of cholera. Children went about the main shopping center heralding the doctrine of cleanliness and good health. A new child led group has been formulated with the aim of widening children’s opportunity to participate in issues affecting them. The group focuses on building awareness on child rights, capacity building on child participation issues and income generating activities aimed at improving the lives of Orphans and Vulnerable Children in the group.
