World Youth Conference 2010

Together with the United Nations System, Mexico invites every nation to celebrate the World Youth Conference 2010, as an opportunity for discussion and reflection regarding the role youth plays in achieving development, with special emphasis on the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).The conference is an initiative of the Mexican government and includes participation from various countries. Lancée le 16 avril 2001, la campagne “dites oui pour les enfants” a demandé à des millions de personnes dans le monde d’apporter leur soutien à l’appel du Mouvement Mondial en Faveur des Enfants (GMC).
La campaigne avait pour but de rassembler les populations derrière 10 principes (impératifs) qui amélioraient et protégeaient la vie des enfants:

Lessons for Life
Lessons for life was the GMC’s one of the most successful campaign. It was launched on the occasion of World AIDS Day (December 1) 2004 and continued in 2005 and 2006. Lesson for Life was a global effort to educate children about HIV/AIDS prevention and to spur them, their communities, and governments to accelerate action on behalf of children and young people affected by HIV/AIDS. In honour of World AIDS Day, children around the world drew on the GMC's internet-based resources to plan community-based discussions, plays, dramas, and writing that were designed to stimulate learning about HIV/AIDS and to explore ways to act on behalf of affected children.
