Tots els nens i nenes, tenen dret d’aprendre.
Els nens arriben al món amb ganes d’aprendre. Massa sovint, no tenen accés a l’educació. Avui, més de 110 milions de nens en edat escolar, sobretot nenes, no van a l’escola, i molts milions més reben una educació de poca qualitat.

No obstant, una educació bàsica i de qualitat és un dret fonamental de tots els nens. La discriminació de gènere ha de ser eliminada, i les escoles han de convertir-se en llocs on els nens es sentin segurs. Les escoles no poden estar tan lluny de casa seva que no hi puguin assistir. L’educació no és només un dret dels infants. També és la seva responsabilitat, una de les responsabilitats més profundes que el nen ha i vol assumir.
