Invertim en els serveis que beneficien els nens més pobres i les seves famílies, com l’assegurança sanitària bàsica o l’educació primària.
Per a milions de nens de tot el món, la pobresa significa que simplement no tenen diner suficient. Significa no poder controlar les seves vides, ser vulnerables a la voluntat d’altres, humiliar-se per tal d’aconseguir alguna cosa. Però, més important encara, significa no tenir l’oportunitat de tenir una vida millor en el futur.

Els governs han d’assegurar un augment significant del nivell de qualitat de l’ajuda que donen als països que lluiten contra la pobresa. Aquests països han de desenvolupar i respectar una llei i una política que doni suport als nens. Hem de lluitar junt per eradicar la pobresa en la infància, perquè només quan invertim en els nens podem trencar el cercle de pobresa. I només així hi haurà una esperança real en el futur.

The Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) is a growing alliance that brings together trade unions, INGOs, the women’s and youth movements, community and faith groups and others to call for action from world leaders in the global North and South to meet their promises to end poverty and inequality.
